2023 Global Campaign Status 1

Return to Hamelia XI is running full steam and we have seen some very nice battles from all over the globe. The first 5 games are uploaded here to the site and it time to try and get an overview of what has happened!

The campaign so far

The first part of the campaign has centered on Genetic Park itself. There has been quite a lot of action surrounding the former park areas and especially the Orks have been rather active.

Game 1

The first game of the campaign saw the Ork warboss Kor entering the park through the old main gate and taking on the former main attraction – Tyranid specimens that were loose and on the prowl.

The Orks never knew what hit them it seems. But also, being Orks, Kor is pretty much sure to give it another go when an opportunity presents itself.

Game 2

The Orks seem to have been launching a larger and perhaps even coordinated (well, for Orks anyway) attack. Shortly after the attack at the main gate, reports started coming in that the Orks were also active in the further out in the mountainous regions to the northwest.

The Imperial army couldn’t make it there fast enough, but ‘fortunately’ the Eldar allies of the Alaitoc tribe were quick to dispatch a force to stop the Orks.

Game 3

The final prong of the Orks attack was set in the arid regions near the old Carnosaur enclosures. Here, in the third game, a force of Tallarns (not the Screaming Camels, but someone close to them perhaps) stalled the Ork approach.

Game 4

The Orks weren’t the only green things bothering the Imperial war effort. Game 4 saw the Blood Angels and the Dark Angels ending up in a brother against brother affair. For reasons unknown, the mysterious Dark Angels chose to blow up one of the parks nuclear reactors, causing severe issues across the island.

Probably they have secret intelligence that speaks to the sense of the matter… or maybe they are indeed agents of chaos!

Game 5

The fifth game was a strange affair. The Space Wolves under the leadership of Ragnar Blackmane didn’t trust that the Eldar were really aiding the Imperial cause, and out of the blue decided to hit the Eldar bastion located in the dome city of Iziba.

In the subtle way of the Space Wolves everything was torn to shreds.

So there you have it! Chaos have been active mainly by proxy through their Ork mercenaries it seems. The Orks have largely been unsucecsful in doing much other than getting a bit of attention. The biggest blow to the Imperial effort so far, has been made by the Dark Angels taking out one of the main power sources on the island. The Space Wolves have similarly also struck a blow, in shaking the foundations of the Eldar – Imperial alliance.
